At Cann Bridge, our school uniform helps create a sense of belonging, promotes equality, and prepares learners for the routines of daily life. We aim to keep our uniform simple, practical, and affordable for families.

Primary (Reception – Year 6):

  • Teal green jumper or cardigan (with or without logo)
  • White polo shirt or round-neck t-shirt
  • Black or grey trousers, skirt or shorts
  • Green summer dress (optional)
  • Black shoes

Secondary (Year 7 – Year 11):

  • Black jumper, cardigan or fleece (with or without logo)
  • Black or white polo shirt or round-neck t-shirt
  • Black or grey trousers, skirt or shorts
  • Black shoes

Post Bridge College (Years 12 – 13):

There is no set uniform, but students are expected to dress in a safe, practical, and appropriate way for learning activities.

PE Kit (all learners):

  • White t-shirt (with or without logo)
  • Black shorts
  • Trainers or plimsolls

We ask that PE kits are sent into school so learners can practise the important life skill of changing clothes. Please also provide wet weather gear and spare clothes for creative (and sometimes messy!) activities. A swimming kit will also be required—class teachers will provide details.

Uniform can be purchased with or without the school logo. Branded items are available from Trutex Schoolwear & More (Plymouth), but plain, unbranded items in the correct colours from high-street shops are absolutely fine.

We also provide access to second-hand uniform in school and warmly welcome donations of pre-loved items. Our Family & Learner Support Advisor, Nikki, has a range of sizes available—please email nburrage@cannbridge.co.uk if you’d like to check availability. Families can also access the Uniform Store Plymouth, a free service for second-hand school uniform.

If your child is moving from Year 6 to Year 7, you do not need to change to black immediately—teal items can continue to be worn until they are outgrown.

We understand that some learners may need extra support to adjust to wearing uniform due to sensory or medical needs. We will work closely with families to make reasonable adaptations where required.

By wearing school uniform, our learners show pride in themselves and their school, while feeling part of our inclusive community.
