Lauren McCabe

I joined Cann Bridge School in April 2025 as the school's Finance, Premises & Data Manager and am proud to be part of the Core Business Team (Extended Leadership Team).

Prior to joining Cann Bridge, I worked within an academy trust as an Operations Manager, where I developed experience in finance, business operations, facilities management, compliance and school data systems. Working across a range of educational settings provided me with a strong understanding of the vital role that effective business leadership plays in supporting outstanding outcomes for children and young people.

At Cann Bridge, I provide strategic leadership across finance, premises and data management, ensuring that the school's resources, systems and infrastructure effectively support high-quality education and care. My role is both operational and strategic, helping to ensure that the school remains financially sustainable, compliant and forward-thinking while providing an exceptional environment for learners, staff and families.

I oversee the school's financial management and budgeting processes, working closely with the Headteacher, Governors and senior leaders to ensure that resources are deployed effectively and deliver the greatest possible impact for our learners. This includes budget planning, financial monitoring, payroll oversight, funding management and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practice.

I also lead on premises and facilities management, ensuring that our school site remains safe, welcoming and fit for purpose. From managing maintenance programmes and capital projects to overseeing statutory compliance, health and safety requirements and contractor management, I work to provide an environment where learners and staff can thrive.

Alongside my responsibilities for finance and premises, I lead the school's data and information management systems. Accurate and effective data is essential to informed decision-making, and I work to ensure that our management information systems, statutory returns and reporting processes are robust, efficient and compliant.

I am passionate about identifying opportunities that support the school's long-term development and sustainability. This includes securing additional funding opportunities, managing charitable donations and supporting projects that enhance our provision for learners. I also coordinate the school's sustainability initiatives, helping to drive our commitment to environmental responsibility and progress towards Net Zero.

I take great pride in being part of the Cann Bridge community and working alongside dedicated colleagues who share a commitment to improving the lives of our learners. Through effective financial stewardship, strong operational leadership and a focus on continuous improvement, I am committed to ensuring that Cann Bridge School continues to flourish for both current and future generations.
