Emma Hookins
I am delighted to be taking on the role of Interim Assistant Headteacher, leading Key Stages 2 and 3 whilst continuing in my role as Understanding of the World Curriculum Team Lead.
Having been part of the Cann Bridge team since 2017, I have held a range of leadership positions, including Key Stage 2 Lead, Key Stage 3 Lead, Early Career Teacher (ECT) Mentor, Understanding of the World Curriculum Team Lead, and PE Subject Coordinator. Prior to joining Cann Bridge School, I worked as a Class Teacher in another specialist setting and began my career as a Teaching Assistant in a special educational needs school.
I am passionate about building strong and positive relationships with learners, families and colleagues, recognising that these partnerships are fundamental to helping every child thrive. I have high expectations for both learners and staff and believe that, through collaboration, ambition and a commitment to continuous improvement, everyone can achieve their full potential.
I am excited to begin this new chapter in my professional journey and to continue supporting our school community as we strive to provide the very best outcomes for our learners.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, visiting the theatre and exploring new places with family and friends.
