Our Soft Play Room provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for younger pupils, as well as learners across the school who may benefit from sensory support. The space is timetabled throughout the week for individuals and small groups, offering opportunities for sensory regulation, physical development, communication, and interactive play.
The room encourages exploration and movement in a secure setting, helping pupils to develop confidence, coordination, social interaction, and independence while supporting their individual sensory needs. It is a valued resource that enables learners to engage in purposeful play and sensory experiences as part of their personalised programmes.
The Soft Play Room was made possible through the generosity of our community. Funding to equip the space was raised through charitable donations and the dedicated fundraising efforts of the Friends of Cann Bridge School, who organised a variety of successful events, including coffee mornings, raffles, and a fundraising ball.
Without the continued support of our families, friends, local businesses, and wider community, we would not be able to provide many of the exceptional opportunities and specialist facilities that enrich the educational experiences of our pupils. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing commitment to helping our young people learn, develop, and thrive.
